Welcome to the latest edition of our biannual 3Point newsletter. We are excited to update you on our recent achievements and progress. Since I joined The3PointFoundation team back on July 31st, 2023 as the new Executive Director, five months have passed in a blink of an eye.

3POINT BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT.
On June 17, the 3Point family of supporters moved onto the basketball court at Emmanuel College for a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to support 3Point’s expansion of its youth programs. While playing to see who would win the Women’s and Men’s Divisions, the teams also squared off against each other competing to raise funds for 3Point.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR LEADERSHIP
The 2021-2022 school year was unprecedented by anyone’s measure. Following nearly two years of school closures and the other difficulties caused by COVID, we had little idea of the magnitude of what lay ahead when schools reopened in 2021. We found ourselves asked to engage students who had experienced social, economic, health and learning trauma.

The 3Point Foundation recently held its annual gala celebrating ten years of partnership with Boston Public Schools to provide high quality, impactful educational programming to underserved, economically disadvantaged youth in Boston’s neighborhoods.

Neil Jacobs is the president and founder of the 3Point Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers free educational, sports and dance programming to under-served youth in Boston.
Partners of the Year: Intercontinental, 3Point work to help kids
3Point Foundation aims to close the opportunity and achievement gap for economically disadvantaged and underserved middle schoolers in the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods of Boston. The nonprofit, founded in 2012, does this through an afterschool program that combines classroom learning and sports, from basketball to dance.
