Meet our Honoree: Susan Hurley of North Andover, MA! As the founder and owner of CharityTeams, and a former New England Patriots cheerleader, Susan has dedicated her life to helping others achieve their goals and has raised over $36 million for Boston-area non-profits through endurance events like the Boston Marathon.Susan is also behind incredible projects like the Bobby Gibb and Spencer the Dog statues in Hopkinton and Ashland. Her unwavering support and work has also allowed her to work with iconic Boston athletes like Tom Brady, David Ortiz, Rob Gronkowski, and more!Even while bravely battling Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer, Susan’s determination shines. This past April, she completed her 17th Boston Marathon alongside her son, Max, while going through chemotherapy. Her motto, "Life is a Marathon," inspires us all to face life’s challenges with perseverance, gratitude, and grace.Thank you, Susan, for your dedication to making a difference. Meet our Honoree: Joe Byrne! Joe is currently the Executive Secretary and Treasurer of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, and as a top labor leader and proud member of Carpenters Local 327, Joe leads a progressive and diverse union at the heart of the construction industry. His leadership is marked by a commitment to modernizing operations and fostering a culture of responsiveness to both union members and employer-partners.A South Boston native and graduate of the carpenters' apprenticeship program, Joe continued to elevate his skills by earning a construction management degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology, blending hands-on experience with advanced education.Thank you, Joe, for your dedication to empowering workers and shaping the future of the construction industry. Meet our Honoree: Jackie Jenkins-Scott! Jackie is a dynamic and transformational leader whose impact spans education, health, and community development! As Interim President of Roxbury Community College from 2022 to 2024, Jackie’s visionary leadership sparked a wave of growth and success—doubling RCC’s enrollment, raising $6.3 million for the 50th-anniversary campaign, and forging powerful community partnerships.Before RCC, Jackie’s 12-year tenure as President of Wheelock College saw similar triumphs, including a 50% enrollment increase and a remarkable boost in diversity. But her legacy began long before that, when she led the Dimock Center from near bankruptcy to become a benchmark institution in community health.With degrees from Eastern Michigan University, Boston University, and a postgraduate fellowship at Radcliffe College, Jackie’s influence extends beyond the institutions she’s led.
